Anniversary

60 years Budo Gouweleeuw!

Budo Gouweleeuw has been known in Delft and the surrounding area since 1965, first as Judo Gouweleeuw and after the takeover by the members as the Budo Gouweleeuw association. We are going to celebrate our 60th anniversary this year. With various activities for current and former members, such as:

  • Reunion training on May 10, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM for former judo and jiu jitsu members. Afterwards a cozy get-together.
  • On June 1, 2025 a survival for our members from 8 years old.
  • A budo camp for the youth on July 5 and 6, 2025.
  • On September 27, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM a hunt for children aged 3-5 and 6-10.
  • Party for our members and former members on November 22, 2025 from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM in `Onder Ons’ located on the Kerkpolderweg in Delft. With a pub quiz and live music by the Maxima’s.

Who still has photos, videos, newspaper clippings, exams, etc. about judo and jiu jitsu at Budo Gouweleeuw, especially from the period up to around 2000?
Please send to archief@budogouweleeuw.nl.

Survival

NB: the registration has been closed
Sunday afternoon, September 21 from 2 to 4:30 PM, we organize another survival for all members 8 years or older with a swimming diploma, + this year an extra activity😉

Survival here means taking a course with running through a forest and often crossing ditches with swinging ropes, car tires, climbing frames, clambering over and through tubes and so on. It’s all about agility, strength, daring and fun. And also important: working together, you go over the obstacles as a team.

Youth camp

The youth camp was once again a party, with some crafting, delicious food, and of course a ton of fun games. You can find the pictures  here.

Hunt

On saturday September 27th, we’ll organise a hunt for all youth members aged 3 – 10. We’ll start at the dojo, and then go on a treasure hunt and play lots of small games. Costs €2,-.
