Help needed with promotions!

Are you 12 years or older, do you have at least an orange belt, and do you know that a good throw means landing on your back?
Then we could really use your help with the examinations for promotions on the weekend of June 28 and 29.

On Sunday afternoon, we’ll have many children aged 6 to 11 taking part in promotions for a new stripe or belt. Most of them have a white belt and are aiming to earn a yellow, orange, or green stripe. So it’s really not difficult!

What does this involve?
You’ll ask children aged 6 to 11 to show you a forward roll, a throw, or a hold, and you’ll check if they perform it correctly.
Don’t worry—you won’t be doing this alone, and the instructor has already indicated what they think a good promotion would be.
You’ll also get to hand out the earned belt or stripe to the children at the end.

For Saturday, we’re looking for an enthusiastic group of brown and black belts to help with the promotions for the 12+ group. This group takes full belt exams, often for a higher kyu level.

We really need a lot of help to make this a festive and successful day. So sign up here to help out!
