We were saddened to learn of the passing of our Honorary Member Aad van der Kooij on Sunday, March 6, 2022. Aad was 79 years old.
Aad was active as a volunteer almost from the start of our association, as a judo teacher and as a referee at national level. At an advanced age, he contributed to setting up our Move Confidentaly classes for the elderly and the group of Adapted judo, with whom he had a special connection. Aad will be missed by his fellow judokas and students.
The funeral took place privately.
