With a members meeting and a New Year’s reception, our association started its anniversary year on Sunday January 12th.
Chairman Simon van Dijk presented the developments and interesting facts of our association. We were introduced to our new secretary, Emily Raijmakers. Head teacher judo, Michel Brakel, explained a few new competition rules at a high speed. The treasurer, Peter van Mulbregt, talked about the financial situation and the development of the number of members. Edwin Zuidhoorn offered us an impressive insight into the set-up and activities of the competition committee. In a collage of filmed interviews, competitive judokas explained what the added value of the competition group is for them. Hans Cromjongh gave an insight into the plans for adapting the dojo. Many questions were answered, volunteers thanked, well, too many things to mention. And then of course we had a nice chat until Luca vacuumed us outside.
